Got up to paint the Tuscan sunrise, but painted the Tuscan fog instead. Some students came out to paint with me. I gave some general advice on setting up and variations on topics of interest and strategies of procedure. After a wonderful Tuscan breakfast, we set up at the terra cotta terrace on the grounds of the Tuscan Renaissance center. I gave an orientation and demonstrated how to set up outside and begin a painting.

As we painted on the terrace above, a delicious meal was being prepared for us in the garden below. At the end of the painting day session I was asked to do a start-to-finish plein air painting demonstration. Tomorrow we will be painting in the beautiful town of Castillina.
